Mushrooms w Otter and SquirrelMosquitoes: small, buzzing, annoying and on the day Rick & Nancy were going for a hike, seemingly omnipresent.

The weather was muggy because of a storm that had passed through the area a few hours previous.

The trail that Rick knew of however was purported to be gorgeous with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. If anything, it would be step up from the previous trail they'd walked. While good exercise, the views were plain with one view looking more or less like the view before.

Nancy slapped her upper left arm and grunted as she flicked away a mosquito.

"I hope this is worth having to put up with all of these bugs," she said.

I like this! Though I can't help wondering - what happened to his pants? Was he drinking so much that he lost them? (I've heard of that happening) Or was he streaking? LOL!

To be honest, I can't remember.

Let's just say that he drank enough that taking them off seemed like a good idea at the time :).
