Boys will be donkeys by RustyRaccoon Boys will be donkeys by RustyRaccoon
Another commission from ~Chica-the-little-cat

Here, it seems Lampy and Pinoke have escaped together from Pleasure Island each with his own souvenir of their visit.

As for why Lampy still wears his jacket -- well, he may be a donkey but he still has his dignity!

Here, Lampy is well, being Lampy. As for what might happen if someone catches him, I don't think he's too worried. I mean, what are they gonna do, turn him into a donkey?

Thanks :).

It's a pic I'm glad I'm comisioned back then. I always loved the idea of Lampy staying a donkey but being a fun loving one that still likes to sometimes have a little naughty fun. That and he and Pinoke still being friends and having fun adventures or just hanging out and relaxing together.

Heh, possible chance for redemption for Lampy, if Pinnochio was to have told Gepeto about Pleasure Island so that they could inform the authorities and have something done about it? ;)
Kind of a cute scene there, even if they are breaking the rules! :XD:
And are those his trousers hanging up there...? Not that he'll need them in this form...

Yep, they are :).

In my version, he comes to terms with being a donkey and starts liking it. So, I think he'd be quite happy to trot around wearing nothing but his fur or maybe jacket. This was they can still be friends and Lampy can be the fun loving guy he was, but in a form where doing so isn't so problematic.

Heh, yeah... ;)
Well, what I was thinking was that, while Lampy's stuck in this form and has to get used to that... at least if Pleasure Island was shut down and the Coachman and his confederates punished (the one thing perhaps lacking from the film's climax), Lampy could come and live with Gepeto and Pinocchio. I'm sure the old fellow would have no problem making a little pen for him in their backyard. At least his future would be less bleak. :aww:

Especially if he could have a cute girl donkey to play with. Or a another boy donkey, whatever he prefers. I'm sure he could help out by helping deliver stuff for them or for others to make some money.

Personally, I like the idea of working feeling good to him as a donkey. Being a boy that liked feeling good, I could see that aspect of his personality transferring over to his donkey form. him, making him more then happy to work.

I also like the idea of Lampy's mom taking out the Coachman and being one of these tough as nails types. Like a fiery redhead type where you see her and see just where he gets his attitude from. But, she's still his Momma and still loves him so accepts him as a donkey. Maybe she even shares a cigar or two and some beer with him if he's a good little donkey.

A girl or boy donkey? I take it that "preference" refers to company for "playing with" in the innocent sense...? ;p

Heh, yeah... I'm sure he could be really useful in this form - and he'd have good friends to take care of his "room and board". :aww:

Heh, heh... that could be cool to see... Lampy's Mum kicking to spit out of the Coachman... :giggle:

Well, it can be innocent or not so innocent . I leave it open because I've seen people pair Pinocchio and Lampy with Lampy as a human. I personally see him as wanting to go with a girl donkey, but I want him to have the option to do whatever makes him happy.

I also like the idea of him getting to have a red mane and tail tasle, maybe even some freckles so he can still have some part of his human self in donkey form.

Ah well, his preferences are up to him, I guess...
(Though, personally, I'm more into the furry side of that stuff...) :XD:;

Heh, yeah... at least there's still some of him left! :aww:

Well, he can also go with a pony if he wants. Whatever makes him happy.

He can also be a bachelor and be a donkey pal for another boy donkey (former boy or otherwise) and they can have innocent fun together.

Heh, now I'm imagining him sitting down and having a beer with his Momma. She might have to hold the glass for him, or give him a nice trough full of it and he can lap it up. Once he gets bigger and has more muscle, he can hold his liquor :D. Okay, I'm prolly nuts for even thinking that and it's certainly a don't try this at home sort of thing but I think it's still a cute mental image.

I don't know for sure, but I believe so. Somehow, I don't think he's all that upset about not needing them any more ;).

Although I'm not 100% on it, I'm pretty sure they are. I doubt he'll be needing them any more :).

This is sweet, even after becoming a donkey, Lampwick and Pinocchio are still friends, great job.

Well, there's that and Lampy being Lampy by being a smoking donkey where the signs say no donkeys and no smoking :P.

I do like the idea of Lampy remaining a donkey but being able to go home to his family and Pinoke.

It does seem like a form where he could finally let go and just do what seemed enjoyable at the time. At least as a donkey, I think people more okay with it.

Even if the stuff that makes him happy would change, let's face it, our hobbies, interests and stuff that makes us happy also changes over time. Sure, it's an extreme example for him but change is a part of life so I think it could work out. I mean, if eating hay makes him as happy as a donkey as eating some sweet or whatever did as a boy then I say go for it.

I think if Pinoke allowed Lampy the freedom to do the things being a donkey would make him want to, I can see him relaxing and being able to settle into being Pinocchio's little donkey buddy. Sure, perhaps a somewhat naughty little buddy but a good friend that can give you a good time. With Lampy as a donkey, that good time would probably be safer then Lampy's definition of a good time when he was a human as well :).

I'm, glad you enjoyed it.

Adorable! (aside from the smoking bit). Very cool artwork here, Rusty! I've already added it to my Pinocchio collection!

Yeah but he's doing it in front of a no smoking sign and a no donkeys sign, because Lampy's a rebel :P. So, that makes it cute :P.
