Kyle had devised the perfect project for his biology class. His invention could restore cells to an earlier state; in effect, it would make them younger. He'd toiled on it for months, keeping it secret from everyone.

I don't want to get anybody's hopes up.

His parents were going away a week, Kyle had the house to himself.

This is the perfect opportunity to conduct field tests. If it works, I'll get an A! Although what matters is that, I can use this as a perfect welcome home present for Mom and Dad.

Flygon by Night re-sumbitTanya the Flygon soared high above the ground as her trainer Jake held tight. Low laying clouds sprayed a cool mist against their faces. The view of the ground below was both incredible while perhaps a little frightening. Tanya was flying Jake towards the next town on their journey.

Behind him, the sun was starting its gradual decent below the horizon. It cast a beautiful glow over the plains they were flying over. While Jake loved the view, he didn't like using Tanya in this manor. He'd taught her fly several months before at her request when he'd acquired the HM.

A Donkey in Human clothing C4There were so many donkeys; so many boys fooled by the Coachman. What Lampwick saw before him was only the beginning. Countless other donkeys that used to be boys were still out there. That for some it could be too late and that any humanity they’d retained had long since vanished saddened Lampwick.

The donkeys before Lampwick weren’t changing back into boys. However, amidst the brays, Lampwick heard a few words that soon grew into several words and expanded.

The words were a beacon in a world shrouded by fog.

“How do we help them? Does this mean that Stevie is still a donkey?” Lampwick asked.

“It will take time.
A Donkey in Human clothing ch1The shock of his sudden and unexpected transformation into a donkey overwhelmed Lampwick and sent him into a panic. How was this possible? Why did they do this? Was there a way out? Lampwick didn’t care where the other boys had gone, he just wanted to reverse this and get out of there. He ran out of the pool hall with no destination. At that moment, the panic was all he knew.

Fatigue soon stopped Lampwick. His mind cleared. He noticed his surroundings.

Much of the park was in ruins. He’d normally laugh about the wild party that happened there. There was no longer anything to laugh about.

A Donkey in Human clothing C5The journey back to town was strenuous. Stevie was nervous and tired. Lampwick allowed Stevie to ride him back to town. Lampwick’s larger size and increased strength were more then enough to let him handle Stevie’s weight.

Stevie was still coming to grips with regaining his humanity. His stubbornness, an ironic trait perhaps aided by being a donkey had kept Stevie thinking of himself as a boy even when he was a donkey. To Stevie, his donkey form was a costume the Fairy had helped Stevie to remove.

Some would feel bad at never completely letting go and allowing themselves to give in. It was Stevie’s stubbornness that in effect
A Donkey in Human clothing C2Hours passed by at an agonizing rate before a buyer approached Lampwick's and Stevie's crate to make an offer.

“You ask a hefty price sir,” the man said. “I hope these donkeys are worth it.”

“They are my friend,” the Coachman said.

The man nodded. “Excellent, we have a lot of work to do on the farm. I have three donkeys but could use two more jacks. These two will make things go much faster.”

Lampwick felt a sense of doom. The Coachman opened the crate. Lampwick considered running and assumed Stevie was as well. The man put harnesses on both of them.

The Lutra stone -edited-Eight-year old Sandra walked into the living room where her father Jim was watching TV. All week she'd been waiting to ask the question on her mind.

"Can we go to the zoo tomorrow daddy?"

He turned toward her, disappointment on his face.

"I'm sorry dear, but I have to work tomorrow, they just called."

"But daddy, you promised!" she said, her eyes starting to fill with tears.

It upset Sandra to no end that Jim was always too busy with work to spend time with her. While she had friends, it just wasn't the same.

She knew that Jim wasn't happy about it. He always seemed to put off doing something with her. His work however, always gave him
Otter Lake -Edited-Friday, the day anticipated by people from all occupations. After an arduous workweek, Jake was exhausted and needed an escape. He’d booked the next week off for a much-needed vacation. His family had a cabin in the woods that they owned via a timeshare and Jake couldn’t think of a better place to escape.

Jake stopped at the Supermarket to buy some food. The cabin had electricity via a generator and running water. Jake looked forward to a weekend of relaxation and being able to experience clean air and peace and quiet.

Another commission from ~Chica-the-little-cat

Here, it seems Lampy and Pinoke have escaped together from Pleasure Island each with his own souvenir of their visit.

As for why Lampy still wears his jacket -- well, he may be a donkey but he still has his dignity!

Here, Lampy is well, being Lampy. As for what might happen if someone catches him, I don't think he's too worried. I mean, what are they gonna do, turn him into a donkey?

Well, there's that and Lampy being Lampy by being a smoking donkey where the signs say no donkeys and no smoking :P.

I do like the idea of Lampy remaining a donkey but being able to go home to his family and Pinoke.

It does seem like a form where he could finally let go and just do what seemed enjoyable at the time. At least as a donkey, I think people more okay with it.

Even if the stuff that makes him happy would change, let's face it, our hobbies, interests and stuff that makes us happy also changes over time. Sure, it's an extreme example for him but change is a part of life so I think it could work out. I mean, if eating hay makes him as happy as a donkey as eating some sweet or whatever did as a boy then I say go for it.

I think if Pinoke allowed Lampy the freedom to do the things being a donkey would make him want to, I can see him relaxing and being able to settle into being Pinocchio's little donkey buddy. Sure, perhaps a somewhat naughty little buddy but a good friend that can give you a good time. With Lampy as a donkey, that good time would probably be safer then Lampy's definition of a good time when he was a human as well :).

Yeah but he's doing it in front of a no smoking sign and a no donkeys sign, because Lampy's a rebel :P. So, that makes it cute :P.
